KLARIS AI is operated by Hüseyn Mirzəyev, an individual developer based in Azerbaijan. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information about users of our service at klaris-ai.vercel.app.

• Account information: your email address and a hashed password
• Uploaded materials: PDF, DOCX, and HTML files you provide to the service
• Chat conversations: your messages and AI-generated responses
• Quiz data: quiz questions, your answers, and results
• Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated data via Vercel Analytics
• Language preference: stored in the KLARIS_LOCALE browser cookie

• To provide AI-powered document analysis, chat, and quiz features
• To improve service quality and fix technical issues
• We do NOT sell your data to third parties
• We do NOT use your data to train AI models
• We do NOT share your data with advertisers

To generate AI responses, your messages and uploaded content are sent to one or more of the following providers:

• Mistral AI
• Groq
• Cerebras
• OpenRouter (Qwen models)

These providers temporarily process your data to generate responses. We recommend not uploading highly sensitive personal information. Please review each provider's own privacy policy for details on their data handling.

• Your data is hosted on Supabase, with files and database records in EU/US data centers
• All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS
• Database records are encrypted at rest
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt via Supabase Auth and never stored in plain text

• Uploaded materials, chat history, and quiz data are retained until you delete them
• Data is automatically deleted after 30 days via a daily cleanup job
• You can delete individual items or your entire account at any time
• Upon account deletion, all your data and files are permanently removed

• Right to access: view your materials, chats, and quiz history within the app
• Right to delete: remove individual items or delete your entire account in Settings
• Right to export: contact us at huseynmirzayev7@gmail.com to request a data export
• Right to object: contact us to raise concerns about how your data is processed
• Right to withdraw consent: stop using the service and request account deletion at any time

• Essential cookies required for authentication and session management
• Language preference cookie (KLARIS_LOCALE) to remember your chosen language
• Anonymous analytics cookies via Vercel Analytics to understand usage patterns
• We do not use third-party advertising cookies

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store or see your plain-text password

• API rate limiting is enforced using Upstash Redis to prevent abuse

KLARIS AI is available to users of all ages. For users under 13 years old, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account. Parents and guardians take full responsibility for their child's use of the service, including any content uploaded and any interactions with the AI. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to request deletion of a child's account and all associated data.

KLARIS AI is available to users worldwide. All users — regardless of location — are protected by the same privacy practices described in this policy. Our practices are designed to be compatible with GDPR and similar international privacy regulations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page. For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will notify you by email.
